CBS was formed in 1996 as a result of the need of public hospitals requiring specialist support and knowledge in Clinical Costing from a local New Zealand company.

Today CBS is now the industry leader in patient costing and data warehouse systems in NZ with 7 District Health Boards using CostPro. CostPro was developed by CBS to meet the specific needs of the NZ health sector. CBS has also developed a number of other systems including a student management system and a staff budgeting system.
